The old bathroom was very tightly packed into the room and didn’t make the most of the space on offer. A corner bath took up the space along the right hand wall, and as you can see from the picture, the toilet and basin were very close together.
From cramped bathroom into luxurious shower room
From a bathroom which was not making the most of the available space, we have transformed this room into a luxurious shower room more suited to our client’s needs. In the process, we have created a more spacious feel just by altering the layout and using our design experience to open up the area.

Once the existing bathroom was removed, we fitted moisture resistant backerboards to any walls adjoining the shower, this is standard on every bathroom we install. Unlike plasterboard, backerboards are resistant to moisture damage or mould growth, meaning a longer lasting installation.

The bathroom has been totally transformed into a more spacious, practical area. We altered the opening of the bathroom door to open against the wall which itself has opened up the room massively. There is now plenty of space around the toilet and basin now they have been set across from eachother.
The corner entry shower cubicle works perfectly in this layout, allowing the room to look more open when not in use, and providing a great space to shower in when the doors are closed. The shower area is completed with a storage niche ideal for keeping your shower gels and shampoo.

As if there wasn’t already enough storage with the shower niche and glass shelves above the WC, there is also a lovely modern basin unit, offering extra hidden storage. Above this is an LED backlit mirror which looks gorgeous as an ambient lighting feature, and is also practical when applying makeup or shaving. It also has a shaver socket built in.
The tile effect wall panels are a great alternative to traditional tiles. They take away any need for future regrouting and are very easy to clean and wipe down.
